Thai Spicy Mixed Vegetable Soup with Prawns is another spicy soup that still famous until today. Thai people call “Kang-Liang.” This is another health food that good for mother. Because black pepper and all other herbs are good for her and can cure fainting and milk for baby. You can add any kind of vegetable that you like. Therefore, thai people like to add the kind of mushroom.
Ingredient:
350 grams prawns, cleaned, shelled, and deveined
1 cup baby corn,sliced
1/2 cup pumpkin (cut into cubes)
1/2 cup zucchini
1/2 mushroom (any kind you want)
1/2 cup sweet basil leave
Ingredients: Spicy Mixture
12 pepper corns
12 shallots
1 tablespoon shrimp paste
1/2 cup dried shrimp
1 teaspoon salt
Preparations:
1) Grind all spice mixture ingredients in a mortar and pound until mixed thoroughly ( or using food processor)
2) Heat chicken broth or water in a pot, then add spice mixture and keep stir it.
3)When soup boils again, add fish sauce. While add all your vegetable, wailing util your vegetable soften about 15 minutes.
4)Toss in the prawns and cook for about 8 minutes until they turn pink. Remove from the heat and serve immediately with hot steamed rice.
